Summit Maternity Care Center
Postpartum Care

After all the hard work of labor is done, it is a time for the season of receiving. Receiving the joy that comes with family and baby bonding, receiving the time to heal, and receiving the love from community

We believe natural child birth is an option that supports finding oneself that results in a stronger bond with her child and her family, providing a sense of fulfillment and restoration.

Meeting Your Baby:

Bonding is one of the most sacred transitions between mother and baby.  Our team respects your time to bond and nurture the new baby in the family.  Each family is given the opportunity to spend time together without separation.  During the first few hours mom and baby are closely monitored for continued health and wellness, all infant assessments are done while mom or family holds the baby.  After you and your baby have nursed, we will do a full physical examination of your baby right on the bed next to you.
